In a hospital bed at just four years old, Oaklié Boss looked at his dad and said three words that would change everything: "I'm Oaklié Boss. I'm the boss. I want my own job."
This wasn't a child playing pretend. This was a child who'd just survived the un survivable.
Oaklié Boss had been fighting Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome (HUS an - extremely rare and life-threatening condition caused by E. coli infection. HUS is serious - E. coli toxins damage blood cells and kidneys, leading to kidney failure. It's rare, it's unpredictable, and it's often fatal. Oaklié Boss’s case was unprecedented - his E. coli levels were higher than anything doctors had ever seen before.
He'd been airlifted away from his parents. He'd endured operations, dialysis, blood transfusions. He'd fought through weeks of uncertainty, not understanding why his body was failing him. And through it all, grasping his father's finger in intensive care, he'd whispered: "Please don't let me die."
But Oaklié Boss didn't die. He survived. And when he did, all he wanted was one thing - to be the Boss of his own future.

His parents listened. They believed in him. And they got to work. In 2022, the first Oaklié's Farmhouse Grill was born—built in just three weeks by his dad to raise funds for a school climbing frame. Sun shining. Grill sizzling. A dream becoming real. From there, it grew. Fast.2024: Oaklié's Sandwich House Café opens its doors. Multiple food trailers follow. An 18-tonne lorry investment for the big events. Partnerships with Walking with Dinosaurs. Plans for additional catering outlets. And more coming in 2026 - Oaklié's got another trick up his sleeve. Yes, the owner is 9 years old. His passions are Minecraft and Roblox. And being the boss.

Oaklié didn't just survive HUS. He thrived. He dreamed. And his parents - like all parents would - moved heaven and earth to make those dreams real. That's why Oaklié's exists. That's what drives every decision we make. That's the heart of everything we do. We're not here for quick wins or easy money. We're here because we know what it means to fight for something that matters. We're here because we believe in building something real, something that lasts, something worth fighting for. When you work with Oaklié's, you're working with a team that understands resilience. That knows the value of never giving up. That believes in doing things the right way, even when it's hard. Oaklié Boss is now 9 years old, and his local paediatrician is amazed by his recovery. His parents are proud beyond words. And his team? We're honored to be part of his story.
This is Oaklié's. This is why we do what we do.
